Guide to London:

London is the heartbeat of the United Kingdom as well as one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world. Despite being one of only a handful of World Cities however, it is still classed as one of most important and dynamic cities in Europe and boasts the status as one of the few global centres for international business.

As well as its economic prowess on the world stage however, London is also one of the most popular tourist destinations for international visitors as it not only has a great cosmopolitan vibe, but also has some historic buildings and centres that provide a show of what old fashioned London was like. As well as being a bustling city with diversity at every corner however, it also has many wonderful relaxing spaces where you can sit back and take in the vibrancy that is all around. Often it is looked upon as a largely built up city, and although this is true in some quarters, London is actually one of the greenest cities in the world and is renowned for its vast open spaces and parks that provide the perfect base to sit and take in the surroundings.

There are also many monuments as well as artistic landscapes dotted around as well as great waterways, including the Thames, that provide wonderful boat trips so you can see the delights and historic landmarks from afar. London also has some of the best shops, eateries and transport links in the world and is a city that is at the cutting edge of modern day living and lifestyles. Despite this however, it still has massive variation and is one of only a handful of cities in the world that still has plenty of heritage dotted around its busy streets -with around 40,000 listed buildings, nearly 1,000 conservation areas and 150 parks and gardens.

London also has one of the biggest tourist attractions in its midst too with Buckingham Palace bringing in tourists from the world over. Foreign visitors in particular love the London scene with the capital attracting more than 15 million visitors per annum. As well as international visitors however, London also remains one of the much loved places to visit by native Britons too. Everyone is extremely proud of the English capital and what it offers, and all appreciate the cultural mix and diversity that makes it one of the most energetic and magical cities in the world.
